Regulations

The Adriatic Sailing Week will be governed by the rules as defined in "The Racing Rules Of Sailing" of the ISAF (WRS), Offshore Racing Congress (ORC) in the official form. To ensure best safety we consider additionally "Special Regulations Category 4" of the ORC (stretch of water next to the coast) except regulations 3.11, 4.24.8 and 4.24.9, general sailing instructions and this advertisement. The one turn and the two turn penalty as per WRS 44.1, 44.2 and 44.4 will be applied.

Admission

Open for 30 foot yachts (slup run-down).

Following classes with spinnakers are scheduled: FIRST 45, FIRST 35

All yacht sizes are allowed in the spinnaker class if they have a valid ORC Club or IMS measurement certificate for 2012. The certificate hast o be forwarded to EVENTERY by not later than 7th May 2012. For possible fees, in case the certificate hast o be changed according tot he ORC, the participant has to pay several expenses (according to the current price list of the OESV).

All yachts must have a separate admission of EVENTERY in the yacht class without spinnaker. This guarantees a more homogenous class. Optimised owner— and racer yachts will be serviced separately. The yachts must have roll configurations and may only use a headsail next to a storm jib during the entire regatta.
The spinnaker class may also use a light sail only. Catamarans must be sailed with a spinnaker. To wing out the genua with the spinnaker boom is permitted. All yachts meet all legal requirements of Croatia. The removal of furniture, doors, gadgets or any other pieces of equipment are strictly forbidden.

To use trapeze shaped gadgets or jibs in order to shift the weight of crewmembers outboard, is prohibited. The shipmaster must have a valid sailing licence. All yachts must cover liability damage.

Enrolment in the regatta office, check up and taking measurement of the yachts

You can find the regatta office at the AYC reception in Marina Kastela Split Sunday, 13th May 2012, 10:00 till 12:00 am and 03:00 till 06:00 pm; Starting number deposit 50,00 in cash.

Race courses

Sailed courses will be without any time limits and length limitations. Several up and down courses are scheduled.

Briefing

On each racing day the „black board“ needs to be checked at 08.30 a.m.

1st race

Monday, 14th May 2012, 10.30 a.m. start of the first race

Judging

6 races with one cancellation are scheduled. In case that less than 4 races will be sailed, no cancellation will be made. Subject to alteration. The ORC-Club will be judging the yachts. Overall ranking according the Appendix A of the WRS.

Groups

The groups 1-4 of the adriatic sailing week are sailing for victory. Yachts with Spinnaker be launched seperately from other yachts and evaluated according to ORC Club. Groups among seven boats can be combined with other groups. The unit classes FIRST 45 and FIRST 35 are rated as a seperate group.

The participants declare their agreement, that participating yachts and starters on sea and land may be recorded.

1 - 3 Ranking of the FIRST 45 class with Spi
1 - 3 Ranking of the FIRST 35 with Spi
1 - 3 Ranking of the open class with Spi
1 - 3 Ranking of the open class without Spi

Challenge cup for the Adriatic Sailing Week 2012
Blue ribbon for the fastest yacht (rating the sailing time without cancelled results). Further prizes will be handed out to the winner of the day.

Entry fee per yacht € 240,-

Including: the entire organisation and handling of the yachts, classification, race guidance and jury, enrolment and fees at the Croatian Sailing Association, daily results, placing buoys, speedboats in order to ensure a quick handling on sea, bearth fees in the Marinas between 13th May and 17th May 2012, entrance ticket for the Kornati National Park as well as registration at authorities and the harbourmaster.

Entry fee per person € 250,- in cash on site in SPLIT

Including: Welcome buffet on Sunday (inkl. beverages),
15th of  May breakfast at marina restaurant Trogir, barbecue  on tuesday in Palmizana, free evening schedule on Monday in Trogir and Wednesday in Hvar, breakfast on wWednesday at marina restaurant in Palmizana. final dinner - multicourse buffet on the last evening (incl. beverages)
Adriatic Sailing Week present, T-shirt and cap with ASW-item, enrolment of participants, visitor's tax, press support.

Liability

All participants take part at their own risk (WRS4). The organiser and all entrusted will not be liable for any damage, loss as well as injuries on or off shore.

Closing date for applications

Monday, 07th May 2012; In case there will be any spaces left and you want to register at a later date you have to pay additional €150,- per yacht directly at the regatta office on site in Croatia.
